General Obligations
- CONTROL OF DRIVERS HELMETS, SAFETY BELTS AND EQUIPMENT
This will be checked at scrutineering for compliance with safety standards. See MSA Circulars
- SERVICE VEHICLES
Servicing of competing cars may only be carried out by service vehicles displaying the event service decals as well as the car number on the RIGHT HAND side of the vehicle and only in the service parks and service areas designated in the road book. Refer SSR 193 (12)
- Additional service decals may be purchased at R50.00 each.
- REFUELLING - Articles 13, 14 & 18 of the MSA Environmental Code refers
- During the event refuelling may only be carried out in the refuel zones nominated in the itinerary. Any action inside a refuel zone not directly involved in the refuelling of a competing car is prohibited. In all refuel zones a 5km/h speed limit will apply.
- Solely for the purpose of assisting with the refuelling procedure of their car, two team members of each crew may access this zone. Engines must be switched off throughout the refuelling operation. Should the crew remain inside the car during the refuelling operation, the safety belts must be unfastened and the doors left open.
- A car may be pushed out of the refuel zone by the crew, officials and/or by two team members without incurring a penalty.
